About Department of Telugu:

The Department of Telugu has its inception in the year 1981 .It is a Dravidian native language of India. This stands in par with Hindi, English, Bengali which also attained a status with the few other languages Telugu is a state language of Andhra Pradesh. Telugu is a primary language spoken in the state of  Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Objectives

• It inculcates social values and morals in the students
• It enables the students to develop interest towards this language
• It spread the greatness of Telugu language, culture, art and tradition as state festivals
• It is a simple language so that even common people can understand
• It brought out the beauty in the spoken language
