                                        English Speaking club

Objective

To educate students to learn speaking  English  without errors.

The Context

The Programs are conducted by SVSSC Government Degree College English Students under the observation  of English faculty members. The students organize Seminars, Workshops and Practice of English Speaking skills. These type of activities are organized in every year and also help the students to get jobs.

The Need

Now a days, English is essential for every person because we are in globalized world. English is foreign language. Every subject is in English language. So, as a developing country we need it. The use of English has been increased day to day life. If we continue  the program of Speaking English, we can provide more opportunities to the students. If we have good jobs we will increase our financial status in future. So, every Indian should take responsible to get knowledge to speaking English to get it. To achieve it we have to conduct different programs which help to increase our speaking skills.

Practice:

The language club session is held once in a week after the regular lectures. The sessions are conducted on practical base. Different activities are organized for students based on LSRW S and vocabulary development skills. Keeping in consideration the poor communication skills, it encourages the students to use language in a relaxed atmosphere and away from the class pressure. In addition, it enhances ties of cooperation between  students and teaching members.

EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS

Thus many students acquired speaking skills besides other skills of communication. Students identifies the importance of spoken engilsh and try it to learn every day.  The  English speaking students attended different seminars, workshops which are conducted by English Speaking Club. The majority of students parents come to college and appreciate the English faculty. Certificate courses are also conducted.They are Employability Skills, Soft skills, Functional English etc., In this program some students have showed their merit and are awarded certificates also.          At last the majority of students have got more knowledge in English with the help of running English speaking club.

Problems Encountered

Because of a foreign language students face many problems  to get speaking skills. At the same time, time management is also a problem because of semester. If we spend some more time, we will reach our targets.
